Welcome to the annual AANR-SW Convention. Our theme is Celebrating America. It will be displayed during the Convention in many ways. Day trips are planned with that theme in mind. Monday we will tour the new Cowboy Stadium, which is home to America’s team. Tuesday we will travel to Dallas and tour Dealey Plaza, the controversial location where one of our most beloved American Presidents was killed. Wednesday we will visit Texas Motor Speedway outside Fort Worth (Is there anything more American that NASCAR?).
All of our trips are free of charge. We rented a van so you don’t have to drive. Please remember to tip your driver to help offset the cost of renting the van.
A limited number of 50 amp campsites with water and septic are available. There are also a limited number of rental units. These may be reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are plenty of 30 amp campsites. A dump station is also available.
Saturday, June 19, is the annual volleyball tournament with neighboring resorts. Come early and have a good time. Experience the camaraderie that we have with the neighboring clubs.
All tournaments or games that require more than 1 player on a team will have team members chosen by drawing names. With so many other clubs in close proximity that is the only fair thing to do.
Participants in games on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of the Convention week are not required to have paid a convention fee. Participants in sanctioned games on Friday and Saturday must pay the convention fee and must sign up at the office by 8:00 a.m. on Friday morning. There will be a sign-up sheet posted on the side of the office.
Convention attendees who purchase a meal package fill out their meal preferences for the entire week. Attendees who desire to purchase individual meals must sign up for meals by 7:00 p.m. for the following day’s meals. Menus will be posted by the kitchen. Please circle your preferences on the menu. They will be collected after 7:00 p.m. for meals the following day.
